Ambaluwawa
Ambuluwawa is one of the popular places in Sri Lanka which is situated in Gampola. It attracts visitors even when it does not have any historical value.
Ambuluwawa is a mountain in Central province which is not covered by any other mountains. Hence it is a fabulous place to get a beautiful view of the area
From Colombo there is about 135km to Ambuluwawa and there is about 2.5km to the mountain from the Ambuluwawa entrance.There is a temple in the mountain and this temple has 927 acres of area from land. This mountain is 3567 feet tall from sea level. The "Govi-jana saya" in this temple is about 400 feet tall. The tower, Govi-jana saya is mainly attractive because of the breathtaking view ground, once you reach the top.
When we talk further about Ambuluwawa it can also be introduced as the 1st multi-religious centre and a biodiversity complex. Not only a temple is situated in this mountain but also a small kovil, mosque and a church so people from all the religions come here. Ambuluwawa is a symbol of harmony and the humanity of the country.
